Plan members make up committees that plan for and support
many of Billerica's local events.
Taste
of Billerica
This annual event is hosted in September when local restaurants
are invited to display and demonstrate their culinary skills
to the community and businesses.
Traffic
Management
The committee acts as a liaison between State and Town officials
to keep the public and businesses in Billerica up-to-date
on road projects and traffic issues in and around the Town.
Holiday
Lighting
An annual event hosted in late November with a holiday
craft fair and continues through December with the tree lighting
on the Billerica common.
Grant-in-Aid
Foundation
The Foundation was established in 1988 to provide money
to non-profit organizations in Billerica who are interested
in creating community enhancement programs for the Town.
Make
a Difference Project
The Billerica Plan collects food donations and
food baskets which are put together as Thanksgiving Dinner
baskets and donated to the Billerica Food Pantry.
Green-Up
Day
Residents and businesses work together to promote community
pride and spirit through this town-wide cleanup program.
Health
Fair
Each year, the Billerica Plan & the Billerica Recreation
Department provides a Health and Recreation fair to all residents.
The
Arts
The Billerica Plan is a supporter of the arts in town.
Greater Billerica has a history of talented artisans. From
writers, photographers to painters, musicians and actors,
Billerica is blessed with a multi-talented culture. The Billerica
Plan, because of it's mission of improving the quality of
life, promotes the arts with an annual photo contest each
June on display at Enterprise Bank.
Adopt-an-Island
This program involves local citizen organization neighborhood
groups, businesses and individuals that are willing to clean
up and beautify specified roadways and locations throughout
Billerica. This is a compliment to the normal roadside maintenance
that is accomplished by the Department of Public Works.
Scholarship
Foundation
Through generous donations of our members, the Plan donates
in excess of $2,000 in cholarships to graduating Billerica
High School students.
Billerica
Partners for Education
A grant program for new and innovative programs within
the Billerica-public education system. The Billerica Plan
involves staff by writing grants for school projects and by
sponsoring the Spring Shadow Day Program.

Police and Fire Departments
The Billerica Plan supports specific programs within
the Billerica Police Department.
Yankee
Doodle Homecoming
The Billerica Plan donates annually to this town-wide
annual event that showcases the Town of Billerica to thousands
of visitors each year.
Marketing
and Membership Committee
This committee is responsible for developing new ways of enlisting
organizations within this area to become members. By joining
with the strong membership base of The Billerica Plan,
new businesses can take an active part of making a stronger
Billerica.
